Ps HW 2

I feel a rush of emotions as I look at the picture of a women uniting to eradicate malaria. It looks simply elegant at first. But hidden beneath this simplicity is a great force, proof of the human race's ability to pull together in the face of hardship. As a black individual, this image resonates deeply with me on multiple levels. It speaks to the resilience ingrained within my community, a resilience born out of centuries of struggle and triumph. I see in these champions not only a determination to eradicate malaria but also a reflection of the power and strength that permeates black culture.

Moreover, this image embodies a message of disease awareness and inclusion. In the diversity of the champions depicted, I see a celebration of all abilities, a reminder that every individual has a role to play in the fight against malaria. As someone with a personal connection to disability awareness, I am inspired by the inclusivity depicted in this image, reminding me of the importance of recognizing and valuing the contributions of every member of society.  It is not just the visual aesthetics that captivate me, but rather the beauty of solidarity, of people coming together from all walks of life to combat a common enemy.

Every element in the understated beauty of this simple image speaks to the depth of life's journey. Within its borders, hope coexists with perseverance, beauty blends with imperfections, and suffering endures alongside prosperity. It celebrates my mother's birthday and her sincere want to have a mother-daughter portrait hanging on our wall, all while capturing a tender moment of celebration. I see the lines and shapes of it, the wear and tear of hardships, but also the undying determination of resilience developed in hardship. It represents more than simply a single instant caught in time; rather, it stands as a tribute to the enduring love that a mother has for her daughter, the lessons learned from adversity, and the unrestricted hope for a better future.

From the outset, navigating through the intricacies of Adobe Illustrator to the nuanced editing features of Photoshop, and the layout finesse of InDesign, each phase of this course presented its own hurdles and triumphs. Throughout this demanding course, I've encountered moments of struggle and growth, from the initial learning curve to mastering advanced techniques. Yet, with persistence and dedication, I've emerged equipped with a comprehensive understanding of Adobe tools that will undoubtedly serve me well in my future endeavors. Compiling this portfolio, I've curated a sel...

BW to Color

The strong emotional connection this image embodies led to the choice to colorize it from black and white. It was taken at a special photo session with my mother and captures the love, enduring bond, and trust that exist between us. When the artwork was first created in black and white, it had depth and inspiration that never went out of style. However, adding color again gave it fresh vibrancy and made the scene happier and more cheery. The vivid colors not only made the scene more visually appealing but also reflected the warmth and excitement that filled our relationship, turning a lovely moment into a spectacular celebration of connection and love. Postcard

I'm inspired by the creative possibilities that await as I use InDesign to create a postcard about the solar eclipse. With the variety of tools available in InDesign, I can execute my idea with accuracy and style. I will begin by choosing striking photos of the eclipse that capture the breathtaking beauty of this celestial occurrence. I can precisely arrange each element by using layers to create the ideal composition. Typography turns becomes my ally as I create simple yet powerful message to communicate the importance of the eclipse. With great care and attention to detail, my postcard will be an everlasting memento that inspires people to examine the wonders of the cosmos. INSPIRATIONAL IMAGE I was greatly inspired by this photo of the solar eclipse since it captured the fascinating moment when the moon softly envelops the sun, spreading its ethereal radiance across the heavens. The moon's silhouette softly kissing the sun creates an amazing sight that is beyond earthly li...
